Dr. P Padmesh is one of the leading names among the Carnatic Flautist. After the initial tutelage under Late Sri. Raghava Warrier, a renowned teacher from Thiruvananthapuram, he went on to learn from the great Late Padmasree Dr. N. Ramani, Chennai.
Padmesh is an "A" Grade artiste in All India Radio
On the advice of his guru Late N. Ramani, Padmesh started the Ramani Academy of Flute, Trivandrum Chapter in 2002. The School has students over 100 students from various part of the world.
Padmesh trends the path of music carefully preserving the heart of traditional Carnatic music and blending in the pulse of his audiences.
He has performed alongside several acclaimed artists. Apart from entertaining audiences in Europe, Mid-East, he has a Jugalbhandi with veena, Sitar and Violin in both Carnatic and Hindusthani.
He obtained his PhD in "Adoption of Vocal style in the Instrument" from the Golden State University, FL USA and thus becoming the first from Kerala to obtain a Doctorate in Flute.
